Cristina Pizarro-Irizar is Associate Professor at the University of the Basque Country (EHU) and Associate Researcher at the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a PhD in Economics from the University of the Basque Country. Her research focuses on energy economics. She has published and presented internationally. She was a visiting researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute in 2014 and the University of Birmingham in 2024. She has supervised one PhD thesis, is Principal Investigator of two ongoing projects (and three others that have already been completed), and has been Basque Country delegate of the Spanish Association of Energy Women since 2021.
